Korea Internet Security

Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA)

We will protect our country and people’s safety
from cyber threats.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution can only continue securing the foundation of data protection.
By building a highly resilient response system to cyber threats and sharing and cooperating for cyber security with companies participating in Cyber Threat Analysis & Sharing (C-TAS), we will contribute to people’s safe lives and robust national security.

Response to intrusions through cooperation with domestic and overseas authorities, including ISP

  • We monitor traffic abnormalities, major Internet service failures, and intrusions 24 hr a day, 365 days a year.
  • We provide technical support to prevent the spread of damage and intrusion recurrence by not only analyzing the causes of breaches such as hacking but also blocking malicious sites.

Establishment and operation of national security vulnerability management system

  • ISA operates a security vulnerability reporting reward system to take preventive measures against vulnerabilities that can be exploited during hacking and facilitate the discovery of weak points by security experts.
  • We provide a cloud-based open security vulnerability analysis platform to promptly discover vulnerabilities through experts’ collective intelligence on security vulnerability.
  • To prevent accidents caused by vulnerabilities from recurring, we established a security vulnerability information management system to manage national security vulnerabilities and share relevant information with major corporate organizations and the public.

Operation of Boho KrCERT/CC home page

  • Through the Boho KrCERT/CC website, we provide easy-to-understand information and content not only to help prevent various cyber threats (hacking, smishing, ransomware, etc.) from causing damage to the public but also to make taking response measures when an accident occurs possible.

Operation of Cyber Security Big Data Center

  • The Cyber Security Big Data Center aims to build a system to analyze cyber threats based on artificial intelligence (AI) and big data and jointly use the information by sharing data on threats collected from diverse fields with industries, academies, and research institutions.
